Steal An Egg Mutations
To try the Mutation Consumable, place an unhatched egg at your base, equip the consumable, approach the egg and complete its Apply Mutation interaction. Buying the item is not the same as applying it.
Community screenshots show a 400 Boss Token shop price and a 10% Success Chance interaction label. These are documented interface values, not a promise of current availability on every server.
How to use the Mutation Consumable
- Prepare the target. Bring an egg to your own base and place it down. The documented target is an unhatched egg, not a pet that has already emerged. Do not rely on an egg that is still being carried.
- Check the purchase. Open Boss Shop and inspect Mutation Consumable. The captured shop lists 400 Boss Tokens. Check the current price and description before confirming.
- Equip the consumable. Select it from your hotbar so it is the held item. Merely owning it in your inventory does not complete the application.
- Move close to the egg. Find the Apply Mutation interaction rather than a hatch action. Published PC walkthroughs describe holding E until the interaction completes; the captured prompt shows E. Follow the control displayed on your own device.
- Read the result before repeating. Inspect the notification, egg label and remaining items. Do not spend another consumable simply because you missed the first message.

What does 10% mean?
The readable application image says 10% Success Chance. In that interface, the number describes application success. It is not a displayed 10% income increase or the hatch probability of a particular pet.
It does not promise one success within ten uses. The reviewed evidence does not establish independent rolls, a pity counter or a guaranteed number of attempts. Do not treat a probability calculator as a verified spending guarantee.
No prompt, fizzle or success?

The September 11 troubleshooting walkthrough reports the fizzle message. It is a different situation from having no interaction at all. This guide does not guarantee item refunds, egg preservation in every circumstance, or a fix for an unknown server error.
Compare the pet you actually own
The official game description confirms that pets can vary in size and mutation. Record the actual pet name, size or weight, mutation label and displayed income before comparing two copies.
Use the pet income comparison for your own displayed values. Do not apply a mutation multiplier again to a rate that already includes it.
The weight and mutation calculator uses a separately labeled source-reference model. Its earnings multipliers are not the Mutation Consumable's displayed application success chance. An unsupported mutation produces no modeled estimate; use a known income rate rather than treating that mutation as having no effect.
Before spending more Tokens
A failed application is not evidence that the next attempt is guaranteed. Stop when the remaining budget no longer fits your goal. Compare the documented Boss Shop offers before choosing more attempts over a temporary boost.
