Steal An Egg Rift Sacrifices & Rift Eggs
This page preserves the pet-for-egg exchange described in our September 12 review. It is not the recipe for Dr. Scramble's Lab.
Does your machine ask for eggs? Use the Dr. Scramble's Lab egg-request guide. The later Lab walkthroughs describe submitting the requested eggs without hatching them first. Do not prepare hatched pets by following the older instructions below.
Earlier pet-exchange instructions
The following sections describe the earlier pet-input interface only. Their recorded rotation and sacrifice rules must not be applied to the Lab's egg-input screen.
Read the older pet-exchange panel
Reviewed September reports describe globally shared rotating banners, commonly changing every three hours. A preview of another egg is not proof that it is the active reward. Use the Current Egg panel and its countdown.
Recorded pet-submission steps
Pause before giving away a pet that funds your current income.
- Read the active egg reward and all three requested pet names.
- Check your collection for exact matches and whether you can afford to give them up.
- Add each requested pet using the machine’s current controls.
- Review the final state and use the sacrifice action only when you accept the exchange.
If the machine says pets are missing
Match the exact requested names and quantities to your collection. Check whether all three requests are filled; a similar-looking pet is not necessarily the same entry.
If the egg reward is different than expected
Check the active banner and countdown again before submitting. Browsing another banner or joining another server does not establish a different current reward.
Avoid weakening your main setup
A requested pet can be useful income. Compare what you lose and keep a spare when possible. The exchange offers a collection opportunity, not a guaranteed upgrade over every sacrificed pet.

How many pets does a Rift sacrifice need?
The earlier system described here requested three named pets. Dr. Scramble's Lab uses a different egg-based request. Identify the interface before using these archived instructions.
Do I keep sacrificed pets?
Treat them as consumed by the exchange. Do not submit a pet you are unwilling to lose.
Can I choose any Rift egg?
Check the active reward. Previewing another banner does not establish that it will be awarded.
Is sacrificing required for Boss Tokens?
The pet exchange and boss-token fight are separate paths. Use the Overlord guide for the boss activity.
